Gaza, Meloni: "Complaint to the ICC? The left, which can't beat us at home, is trying legal action."

"I read that some left-wing figures—like Bonelli, Fratoianni, and company—want to report the Italian government to the International Criminal Court. These are the same people who, just a short while ago, asked Brussels to open infringement proceedings against Italy. Now they're even pushing for an international trial, bringing up the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza in a completely exploitative way, as if even that were our fault." This was Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's statement on Facebook.
"Three things are now clear to everyone: the first is that, failing to defeat us at home, the left always seeks external help. The second is that they care absolutely nothing about Italy's image and its reputation around the world," the prime minister wrote on social media.
"The third is that they now have only one strategy and hope : to try to get rid of their opponents through legal means, because they have long since given up on the democratic path. They won't succeed," concludes Giorgia Meloni.
